Fee and Cost Management

The firm recognizes that the timely delivery of legal services and the control of costs associated with those services are of the utmost importance to clients. The firm is, accordingly, committed to the concepts of responsiveness to client needs and active client participation in fee management.

The firm believes that open, frank discussion at the outset of the relationship regarding the goals of the client and the legal work required to obtain those goals is primary to building a strong and lasting relationship between the client and the firm.

The firm’s goal, in all matters, is to work with the client to arrive at agreed upon working procedures and fee arrangements that best suit the interests of the client and that are most appropriate to the particular legal tasks to be performed.

In addition to initial detailed discussions regarding client goals and the legal work required to achieve those goals, the firm believes that legal cost can be managed most effectively through the use of a variety of cost management tools, including case management planning, regular progress reviews, and the preparation of timetables and budgets.

The firm’s hourly rates are extremely competitive. The firm's billing is entirely computer-driven. Lawyers and paralegals enter their time as the task is performed. This provides the client with accurate and lower bills on average, avoiding the "end of the day" time reconstruction common with paper systems.
