Steven P. Behnken, B.S. 1998 Chemical Engineering, Purdue University; J.D. 2006, DePaul University College of Law. Steve is a registered patent attorney who prepares and prosecutes patent applications in the chemical, mechanical, and certain electrical arts, both before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and internationally. In addition, Steve helps clients obtain registrations for their trademarks and copyrights and then assists clients in understanding and enforcing those rights. Finally, Steve works with both the client and opposing parties to resolve any disputes by drafting documents necessary to license or assign these valuable assets.
Steve was the DuPage County Bar Association (DCBA) Intellectual Property Committee Chair from 2010-2011 and the DCBA Intellectual Property Committee Vice-Chair from 2009-2010. As a member of the Publication Board, Steve has written a number of legal articles, which may be found on the Articles tab above.
